Pacific Mist Manzanita (Arctostaphylos 'Pacific Mist') is a spreading ground-cover manzanita with pointed gray-green leaves and white flowers in late winter. It is a hybrid of undetermined manzanita species, possibly including Arctostaphylos silvicola.

This manzanita is fast-growing for its species and tolerates dry shade, a rare characteristic for manzanitas. It thrives in coastal gardens, especially in beach sand, but will also do well in heavier soils. It is easy to grow and tolerant of various garden conditions, though it requires pruning at least twice a year to keep it in check. Pacific Mist Manzanita is a great choice for planting over retaining walls or in containers.

The white flowers attract hummingbirds, while the berries are a favorite of birds, making it a valuable plant for wildlife-friendly gardens. This hybrid was introduced by Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden in 1981 and is speculated to be a cross of Arctostaphylos silvicola and another species.
