Whitney's Milk Vetch (Astragalus whitneyi var. confusus) is a native perennial herb that grows in Northern California, primarily in the Warner Mountains, the High Sierra Nevada and Modoc Plateau regions. It tends to grow in open sandy, gravelly or rocky places, at elevations from 4400-7900 feet.
