Long Haired Star Tulip (Calochortus longebarbatus var. longebarbatus) is a rare native perennial herb that grows in Northern California, primarily in the Warner Mountains, the High Cascade Range and Modoc Plateau regions. It tends to grow in vernal meadows and heavy clay soil, at elevations from 3900-6200 feet.
