Red Sierra Onion (Allium obtusum var. conspicuum) is a common native perennial herb that grows in Central and Northern California, primarily in the Sierra Nevada Foothills and High Sierra Nevada regions. It tends to grow in granitic sands, at elevations from 2600-11500 feet.
