Prairie Flax (Linum lewisii var. alpicola) is a native perennial herb that grows in Central California, primarily in the White and Inyo Mountains, the High Sierra Nevada and Sierra Nevada East regions. It tends to grow in dry open ridges and slopes, at elevations from 6600-11200 feet.
