Coryphantha alversonii, commonly known as the foxtail cactus, is a stem succulent plant in the Coryphantha genus of the cactus family (Cactaceae). It has black tipped spines and lavender flowers. It is found in desert mountains of California. It is included in the CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants.
