Heuchera hybrid. Canyon Duet Coral Bells are named for their strongly bi-colored dark pink and white flowers that appear on 12 -18 inch tall stems in the spring. Canyon Duet is a diminutive hybrid of Heuchera 'Canyon Delight' and the rare Heuchera elegans that is found only in the san Gabriel Mountains. This selection was released in 21 by the santa Barbara Botanic Garden. This is a evergreen perennial that forms compact, mat-like tufts that grow to about 5 inches tall and 1 foot wide. Plant in cool full sun on the coast to light shade inland and do best with regular water. Their foamy sprays of pink and white flowers add a charming effect as a small scale ground cover, edging plant or in rock gardens or containers. Tolerates almost any soil type. Prefers part shade or shade in coastal sites, and shade in inland sites. Selected for the garden. Introduced by santa Barbara Botanic Garden.
