Spineless Horsebrush (Tetradymia canescens) is a native shrub that grows in northern, southern and central California. It is slow growing and moderately long-lived. It grows in an upright form to a height of 4 feet, with active growth during the spring, summer, fall. Flowers are yellow and bloom in the late summer. Leaves are white-gray and deciduous. It tends to grow in saltbush, at elevations from 0-10000 feet.
