Fiveneedle Pricklyleaf (Thymophylla pentachaeta var. belenidium) is a clumping yellow-flowered perennial in the Asteraceae or sunflower family. It blooms spring to fall with masses of yellow flowers above feathery aromatic foliage. In the wild, it is found in the San Jacinto Mountains and Sonoran Desert, as well as west as far as Texas.

This is an excellent small plant for hot sunny areas. It likes fast-draining soil. It will reseed easily and attracts pollinators.
