Fen is a garden design studio based out of San Francisco. We believe that gardens are dynamic and evolving spaces that have the potential to enrich local ecosystems and have a profound effect on well-being. We work with clients to create gardens that reflect their needs and help them cultivate a deeper relationship with their land in a process that engages creativity, intuition, and curiosity. As our practice evolves, we're relying more on California natives to make up 70% of our plant palettes and are cultivating relationships with local native nurseries to deepen our understanding of what it means to be sensitive stewards to Bay Area landscapes. We work with carefully selected local stonemasons, carpenters, and contractors that imbue their art with their own sense of style and personality and bring a sharp and artistic eye to our collaborations. We use local materials and always aim to soften our impact on our sites when possible. Fen offers design, project management for installation, & maintenance.
