The Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District is a small government agency that empowers our community use natural resources more sustainably so that clean water, healthy soil and native plants and animals are abundant for future generations.
The District runs a native plant nursery which grows plants for restoration projects and the public.
Seeds are sustainably harvested locally with permits and propagated at our facility in Riverside.
In August 2024 RCRCD earned accreditation in a UC Davis program to prevent the spread of fungus-like plant killers in restoration projects, joining only nine other nurseries in the state and only two others in Southern California. The Accreditation to Improve Restoration (AIR) program is designed to keep Phytophthora plant pathogens out of nurseries and subsequently out of wildlands.
Plants are sold to the public at our LandUse Learning Center demonstration garden in Riverside, Calif.
Plant sale details:
- rotating selection
- dozens of species including shrubs, flowers, sages, grasses and more

The free garden highlights the three main land uses in Inland Southern California: native habitat, urban areas and agriculture. For local native plant gardening inspiration, the District sells the book "Wildflowers and Important Native Plants of the Inland Empire." Free workshops are held the First Saturdays of each month at the garden. The local Riverside-San Bernardino Chapter of the California Native Plant Society holds public meetings at the facility the third Saturdays of each month in fall, winter and spring.
