Serpentine Hoary Coffeeberry (Frangula californica ssp. crassifolia) is a native shrub that grows in Northern, Southern and Central California, primarily in the North Coast, the Klamath Mountain Range and North Coast Range regions. It tends to grow at elevations from 0-3300 feet.
