Horticultural selection from Garrya elliptica. This large shrub has beautiful creamy white catkins that appear during the spring. It would make a great option for a bird garden because of the denser foliage than other tassel bushes. This shrub-like appearance and white catkins make it an appealing option for larger plants in a bird garden. Grows best in sandy, coarse-grained or other fast draining soil. Prefers sun or part shade in coastal sites, and part shade in inland sites. Selected for the garden.
